Shreveport, LA (May 29, 2020) One person died Friday morning after a rollover crash on I-220 due to a blown-out tire. The accident occurred just before noon at I-220 and Lakeshore Drive.

According to Caddo Parish Lt. James Houston, a car was heading east in the inside lane when a pickup truck driven by 68-year-old John Tillman entered the interstate’s outside lane from Lakeshore Drive. The car’s tire blew up, causing the driver to lose control and hit Tillman’s pickup. The pickup truck then flipped over, killing Tillman.

Police are still investigating the accident. So far, no charges have been filed.
