Houston, TX (2/22/2020) – The Houston County Sheriff’s Office reported that a pedestrian was killed on East Freeway early Saturday morning. The accident occurred at the 14100 block of the freeway near Beltway 8 around 4:45 a.m.
According to police, the pedestrian was crossing the main lanes of the freeway and was hit by at least one vehicle. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
Officials have not yet released the name of the victim, but at least one driver remained on scene and cooperated with investigators. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the cause of the crash. We will continue to monitor this story for any new developments.
