New Orleans, LA (April 11, 2020) Two men died Friday night after being involved in a head-on collision. The collisions happened in New Orleans East around 6:40 p.m. at the 25700 block of Chef Menteur Highway.

According to the New Orleans Police Department’s Fatality Unit, the driver of a black Cadillac was traveling west on Chef Menteur Highway. The driver veered into the eastbound lanes and hit a black Chevy truck head-on.

The police have not released the identity of the driver who was in the black Cadillac.

Emergency responders pronounced both drivers dead at the scene of the crash.

The NOPD is still investigating the cause of the accident. They are currently awaiting blood and alcohol test results.
