New Orleans, LA (May 29, 2020) — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a crash involving two vehicles that left a motorcyclist dead on Friday afternoon. The accident happened around 4:22 p.m. at the 2000 block of North Broad Street.
According to police, the driver of a Jeep Compass and a motorcyclist were both heading east on North Broad Street when they collided near the intersection at Duels Street. The driver of the motorcycle, who has not been identified, was ejected from his vehicle and died at the scene of the accident. A female passenger on the motorcycle was also injured and sent to the hospital.
NOPD is still investigating the cause of the crash. We will continue to monitor this story for additional updates.
