Houston, TX (June 13, 2020) A man was killed Saturday morning when he was run over by an 18-wheeler at a grocery store’s loading dock. The accident happened around 8:00 a.m. at an Aldi Food Market at the 100 block of West Road.

According to the Houston Police Department, the man, who they believe was homeless, was sleeping in the loading dock area when a delivery driver attempted to back their truck up to the dock. The delivery driver noticed a dark-colored blanket laying on the ground when he was backing up, but did not know it was a person.

Police are still investigating the accident, but no charges have been filed against the delivery driver.
