Houston, TX (March 6, 2020) – A man died after running into a truck in Southeast Houston on Friday night. The accident occurred at the 6100 block of Griggs Road around 5:02 p.m.

According to the Houston Police Department, an unidentified male was turning left on Griggs Road in his Toyota Yaris when he drove into the path of a truck. The truck, carrying an unidentified father and son, hit the Yaris, causing both vehicles to hit a nearby food truck.

The man driving the car was transported to the hospital but later died of his injuries. The father in the truck was not injured, but his son suffered minor injuries. 

The Houston Police Department is still investigating the cause of the accident.
